What is included in the ticket? Cost?

Your $200 ticket is all inclusive for the Gardening 101 course, afternoon tea and treats, you-pick flowers, bouquet arranging instruction, as well as a take-home bouquet! It really is a ticket for a lovely afternoon!

How long is the event?

The entire Gathering Garden Retreat takes course over 3.5 hours. The schedule will proceed as follows: Gardening 101 course (1.5 hours), catered afternoon tea + treats (1 hour), you-pick and bouquet arranging (1 hour)

Do I need any gardening experience?

We welcome gardeners of all experience types! Beginners are welcome as well as experienced gardeners. 

Will someone show me how to arrange the bouquet?

Our fabulous instructor, Janene, will be available to assist with bouquet arranging. 

What kind of food and drinks are served? Dietary restrictions?

We will be serving tea along with a lovely assortment of other thoughtfully prepared finger foods. We're happy to accommodate for gluten-free and dairy free options- just let us know in advance. There will be something delicious for everybody to enjoy. 

Is this a small-group experience?

Yes, we enjoy keeping the Gathering Garden Retreat a smaller, more intimate group to ensure a more personal experience. 

What is your cancellation or refund policy?

We understand that life comes with unexpected events. Participants may cancel up to 24 hours in advance with a full refund. 

Can I just come for a portion of the event?

You're welcome to enjoy as much or as little of the experience as you'd like. Please note that tickets are priced as a full experience. 

Can I take photos?

Yes, please take photos! Our garden is only in bloom seasonally and it would be a shame if it were not seen by everybody. Feel free to share on social media and tag us so we can enjoy the photos as well!

Will there be shade/restrooms?

Yes- there will be shaded areas available throughout the event, as well as restroom access for guests. 

What should I bring?

Guests are not required to bring anything. Supplies are included for each activity. However, flowers will be sent home wrapped in paper. So, if you would like them to go home in water, feel free to bring a vase of your own!

Are supplies included?

Yes, we provide snips, buckets for collecting flowers, and wrapping materials to bring home your beautiful bouquet. 

What should I wear?

Wear anything you feel comfortable in. Just remember, it is a garden, so there are both dirt and grassy areas. 

Is the garden accessible?

Unfortunately, Courting Hill Gardens was not designed with wheelchairs in mind. There are multiple areas that may require taking a step up and the restrooms also have a step.

Can I bring kids or guests?

Kids and guests are welcome in the garden. Please do not let children wander unattended. 

What happens if it rains?

In case of inclement weather, bring a rain jacket! We will host the event rain or shine. 

Are pets allowed?

For the comfort of all guests and to preserve the integrity of the garden setting, we kindly ask that animals not be brought to the event.
